About ENT specialists in Bangladesh

An ENT specialist (otolaryngologist) treats diseases of the ear, nose, throat, sinuses, voice box and the head and neck. ENT doctors are both physicians and surgeons: they treat infections with medicine and perform operations such as tonsillectomy, sinus surgery and ear drum repair.

In Bangladesh, ENT specialists usually hold a DLO (Diploma in Laryngology and Otology), MS (ENT) or FCPS (ENT). Many also have training in head and neck surgery, including surgery for thyroid swellings and tumours of the mouth and throat.
